How it plays

The number isn't the whole answer.

A gate changes the army, and the army has to survive the fight ahead.

Read the gates.

Add to a thin squad, multiply one you kept alive, or convert units for a different formation. The best choice changes as the run unfolds.

Build a fighting squad.

Infantry, archers, heavies, spearmen, cavalry, and bombers each bring something different. Run upgrades give you another way to shape the next encounter.

See if it holds.

Mixed enemies, hazards, and 12 bosses meet the squad you built. If it falls apart, you can replay the route with a new plan.
